How We Set New Standard During Our Maiden Entrance Exam Exercise
During our maiden entrance for our pioneer Students, we set a new benchmark in the education of Nurses by conducting our inaugural entrance examination for the first batch of prospective students. The event, on Novemeber 08, 2024 at the main Mampus of the College in Hillcrest Nsukka, marked a historic milestone for the College, which has quickly earned recognition as the best private Nursing School East of the Niger.
The entrance exam, which was conducted in an unprecedented and student-centered manner, began with a formal vetting process that saw hundreds of candidates arrive at the College campus for the rigorous selection procedure. This pre-exam accreditation took place at the spacious St. Joseph Marello Hall of the College. And at about 12:30 PM, candidates were ushered into the exam hall, where the Management demonstrated their commitment to the values of care and empathy that define the Nursing profession.
In a heartwarming display of thoughtfulness, each candidate was given a bottle of water and snacks—an uncommon gesture in most exam settings, where candidates are often treated with little regard. This generous gesture was widely appreciated by the candidates, who praised the College for its rare display of humanity and care, setting a tone of professionalism and compassion rarely seen in academic settings.
The examination process itself was divided into two segments: a written test and oral interviews. The written test assessed the candidates’ academic aptitude, while the oral interviews focused on personal qualities, communication skills, and suitability for the Nursing profession. The selection panel was composed of highly qualified Nurse Educators, Human Resources experts, and representatives from the clergy, ensuring that the process was fair, thorough, and merit-based.
Throughout the examination, the candidates maintained a respectful and composed demeanor, impressed by the professionalism of the entire process. The interview panels were both rigorous and engaging, offering the applicants a chance to showcase their passion for Nursing and their commitment to the profession.
Recall, that we (at first instance) received full accreditation from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) and the Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare (FMoH&SW), and had continued to impress with our world-class facilities. Our College campus, which boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure and a secure learning environment, left a lasting impression on all who attended. Our commitment to providing high-quality education in a safe, modern, and well-equipped environment was evident throughout the day.
Our College has quickly become a top choice for aspiring Nurses, with its blend of rigorous academic standards, compassionate leadership, and modern educational practices. While the sale of admission forms is still ongoing, the first batch of prospective students interviewed today awaits the end of the second batch of prospective students interview for admission list to published.
